What does the new Standard look like?

The new Standard focuses on a range of people management issues, such as employee involvement and empowerment, reward and recognition
The capability of leaders and managers is more closely measured
Setting and communicating aims and objectives is now much more important
The assessor will be looking to see how you plan to measure the impact of learning and development upon performance
Robust evaluation is now essential
There is no requirement for any form filling or paperwork.


What are the implications for your organisation?

Already working with the Standard?
If you are already committed to the Standard, or are Recognised as an Investor in People, then you need to know how your organisation compares to the new requirements in time for your next assessment or review. Most organisations, including those that are already Recognised, will need to do some things differently to meet the new version.

The new Standard focuses closely on leaders and managers, testing whether they are effective in leading, managing and developing people reporting to them. We can help you to make sure they are, by providing customised online 360° measurement and feedback for your leaders and managers. This can be based upon your own competency framework or alternatively you can use our 360 Insight model, which has been specifically designed to test the issues at the heart of the Investors in People Standard.
