People Insight Ltd collects information to provide a valuable and
user friendly service to you and your organisation.
The very nature of our services means that we collect information
provided by individuals for analysis as a group. Our service relies
on the willing participation of a number of individuals and so we
are careful to protect your anonymity.
We have developed this policy because we want you to feel confident
about the privacy and security of your personal information.
The policy is set out into three sections:

1. What information do we collect and how do we use it ?
Gathering and use of your information
- In setting up our service we ask your organisation for your
e-mail address so we can contact you to invite you to take part
in our survey. When you accept our invitation, you provide us
with your responses to a series of questions.
- Your responses are then kept in a database along with responses
provided by others who have been asked the same questions.
- We then analyse the answers provided by everyone who responded
to the survey. The product of this analysis is known as the "survey
results."
- The survey results provide your organisation with the information
it needs to understand its people's attitudes and opinions.
- The survey results will not disclose your individual responses
to your organisation.
- However, where the questionnaire asks for comments or suggestions
your responses will be repeated verbatim in our report. Therefore
when providing comments, you should consider whether you can be
identified by your comments, and if so, whether you wish to be.
Gathering and use of your organisation's information
- In setting up our service we may ask for the contact details
of individuals who are involved in setting up and implementing
the survey on behalf of your organisation. We contact these people
if problems occur.
- The results of your organisation's survey may also be compared
and contrasted with the results of surveys conducted by other
organisations using our service. This analysis is called the "benchmark
results."
- The organisations using our service are known as the "benchmark
group."
- Access to the benchmark results is provided to other organisations
in the benchmark group, however we will ensure that your organisation's
survey results are anonymous.
- The benchmark results will not disclose the identity of your
organisation.
- We will not reveal that your organisation is part of the benchmark
group to any third party unless we have your organisation's permission
to do so.

2. Email addresses
We respect the privacy of personal e-mail accounts and we store
your e-mail addresses securely.
We will not use your e-mail address for any other purpose except
to conduct your organisation's survey, or to invite you to take
part in a survey that has been approved by your organisation.
We will use e-mail in the following ways:
- To send you invitations to respond to your organisation's survey.
- To send you reminders to respond to your organisation's survey.
- To send you an e-mail or electronic versions of the survey.
- To send you messages about faults and service issues.
- To communicate with you in resolving problems and queries.
- To keep you up to date with news about current and future services
that your organisation has requested.
- In any other communications requested by your organisation.
We will not send you junk mail.
Your details will not be passed to ANY organisation without your
organisation's explicit permission except in cases where they are
shared with contractors or agents to provide your organisation with
the products or services it has requested.

3. Disclosure of information
People Insight complies with and is registered under the Data
Protection Act in the United Kingdom and takes all reasonable care
to prevent any unauthorised access to your personal data.
The details that we use to provide our services (for example your
name and e-mail address) as well as any information collected from
you while you are using the People Insight website, will NOT be
passed to ANY organisation to be used for marketing purposes.
